Business ideas for women who want financial freedom

Are you a woman with hopes and dreams of being financially independent but have too many other responsibilities ? This Independence Day we bring to you some ideas that will help you turn your passion into a career!

Financial freedom begins with clever financial planning and goal setting. If a 9-to-5 job is not your forte or you are a housewife with a family to take care of then don’t worry – there are plenty of opportunities for you to make money from home, online and as an entrepreneur.

There are several business ideas that will allow you the flexibility to work from anywhere, to choose your own work hours and schedule, and to choose whom you want to work with

Here are some great ways to achieve financial freedom

  • Love to cook? Start a catering business from home

If you have a penchant for cooking and for experimenting with ingredients then why not capitalize on your talent? In metro cities like Mumbai office-goers are always looking to try affordable delicious home-cooked food.

With a little word of mouth publicity you can easily start your business and gradually grow it. The options are endless when it comes to food. From cupcakes to chocolates if you have the flair and the time for a side business you can definitely make some good money.

  • Make money with freelance writing

Whether you choose to write part-time or full-time, freelance writing is a great way to earn income. From magazines and newspapers to websites and content studios, every organization needs a good writer. How much you get paid depends on the quality of your writing and your experience.

There’s something for every kind of writer out there. You can easily earn anywhere from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1000 per article depending on the type of article and the company. If you love to travel and blog about your experiences then travel writing is another fantastic way to make money. Writing is a career for all ages and women.

  • If fashion and beauty are your strengths, use them

You can make money with minimal  investment if you love hair styling or anything to do with fashion and beauty. Travel from house to house or start a small business from home. There’s no need to even buy space for a small beauty and hair styling business.

  • Take tuitions

Love teaching? Then think about which subjects you’re good at and start taking tuitions from home. All you need to do is decide how many hours you can devote to teaching per week and how many children you want to teach.

Don’t overcharge and don’t undervalue yourself. Teaching is one of the easiest ways to earn your financial freedom while increasing your own knowledge.

  • Start a hobby class

From painting and pottery to music and embroidery there are a plethora of hobby classes to choose from. Depending on your passion and expertise you can start a hobby class of your liking.

For example, basic guitar training lasts for six months to a year depending on the frequency of training. If you conduct the class once a week and charge Rs. 500 per session, in six months you can earn Rs. 12,000 per student. The more the students you have the better.

You could actually be sitting on a huge pile of money because people are always interested in beautiful, exceptional photographs. Many stock photo agencies including Shutterstock offer incentives to talented photographers who want to earn from their photos.

You can even sell your writing to top publications and gradually become a trusted go-to freelancer for the organization.

There’s no dearth of business ideas for women who want to become financially independent or who want to explore their creative and entrepreneurial side. All you need to do is discover what you’re good at and then go out there and make some money.
