When will EPF interest be credited?

EPF contributions are credited monthly, interest is calculated monthly, and the total interest for the year is credited in one go at the end of the financial year.

How to check your PF balance?

There are several methods to check your PF balance:

Method 1: To check your PF balance, you can send an SMS to 7738299899 from your registered mobile number. The format for sending the SMS is: ‘EPFOHO UAN ENG’.

Method 2: To check your PF balance, you can give a missed call to 011-22901406 or 9966044425.

Method 3: Given below is a step-by-step guide to check the EPF balance in the passbook

Go to the EPFO website: Visit the official website of the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) at epfindia.gov.in.

Click on "Services": On the homepage, click on the "Services" tab.

Select "For Employees": Under the "Services" tab, click on the "For Employees" option.

Click on "Member Passbook": A new page will open. Under the "Services" section, click on the "Member Passbook" option.

Enter your UAN and password: On the login page, enter your UAN and password. You can also answer the captcha code to verify your identity.

Click on "Login": Once you have entered your UAN and password, click on the "Login" button.

View your EPF balance: You will be directed to your EPF account, where you can view your balance, contributions, and interest earned.

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation i.e. EPFO has communicated an interest rate of 8.15% for Employees' Provident Fund accounts in the financial year 2022-23. The EPFO has announced interest rate on EPF accounts via circular on July 24, 2023.
