What is the difference between Part A and Part B of Form 16? If the gross salary amount on Form 16 (Part A) is mentioned incorrectly, how can I get it fixed?

Form 16 has two parts. Part A shows the details of the deductor and the deductee, such as PAN and TAN numbers, the assessment year, the period for which tax has been deducted, the amount of tax deducted etc. Part B gives details of the amount of salary or fees earned, any deductions or exemptions with respect to tax, and the net amount along with the amount of tax deducted. In short, it shows how the employer or deductor has computed the tax.
