You can update everything on your Aadhaar card, from your mobile number to your fingerprints, on the UIDAI official website as well as at the Aadhaar enrollment centres. Here are the new changes you should be aware of.

Earlier this year, on April 22nd, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) issued an important circular. This circular revised the charges for updating Aadhaar Card details like biometrics, mobile number, email ID, etc. Here's everything important you need to know.
Will it cost more?
Yes, as per the revised charges updating specific details will cost more. Initially, the charge to update the demographic information was Rs. 25, but it has now been increased to double that amount i.e Rs. 50. Other updation charges have been increased as well.

Here are the new charges, as per the UIDAI official website:
Demographic details update such as name, mobile number, etc. | INR 50 |
Biometric updates (such as photographs, fingerprints, iris scan, etc.) | INR 50 |
Aadhar search using e-KYC/Find Aadhaar/ and any tool and colour printout on an A4 sheet | INR 30 |
These charges are inclusive of GST. These new charges are applicable for those opting for these services both online and at the Aadhaar enrollment centres.
What about address change?
Updating address on the Aadhaar card on the UIDAI official website remains free of cost as do the other online services.
Does it cost to get the Aadhaar card reprinted?
Yes, reprinting your Aadhaar card from the UIDAI official website is chargeable like before. It costs Rs. 50 and is inclusive of everything, from printing to posting as well as GST. The payment can be easily made online using a debit card, credit card, UPI or net banking.
What if you are enrolling for the first time?
If you don't yet have an Aadhaar card and are enrolling for the first time, then it's free of charge, and you're not required to pay anything.

What are the mandatory Aadhaar biometric updates?
Since Aadhaar is issued to children as well, there are two mandatory Aadhaar biometric updates:
- For children aged five
- For children aged fifteen
