Employees earn tax-free interest on the accumulated PF amount
Survivor of a deceased member is eligible for insurance benefit worth Rs 6 lakh
Lifetime pension assured, given 10 years of contributory membership
Allows withdrawal for house loans, marriage, higher education etc.
Aadhaar-linked UAN is a 12-digit unique identity number for members

Online transfer of EPF
EPF can be transferred online by employees through EPFO’s member portal. Employees can submit their claims as well as check their status on the portal.
Online withdrawal
Employees can apply online for withdrawing their PF balance through EPFO’s member portal, which has made the process easier.
PF payment online
EPFO has collaborated with around ten banks, making it convenient for members to make PF payments online.
SMS & missed call service
This service enables members to know their KYC details, total PF balance, last contribution etc. through SMS, missed call, or the UMANG application.
Services for international workers
EPFO provides Certificate of Coverage (CoC); this facilitates exemption from the social security of the host country to an Indian employee who is going to work abroad.
